CD Salvage Auction reports record January

The remarketer’s main business is selling total loss salvage, accident damage-repairable, mechanical failure, MOT failure vehicles on behalf of the UK's major rental and leasing companies. The significant increase in sales is in part due to the firm’s new ability to leverage CD Auction Group’s buyer network.

Andy Brown, managing director at CD Auction Group commented, “When our business was acquired by Arctos Holdings in September 2017, we knew that there would be synergies and opportunities to provide our buyers with complementary added values services, January’s record sales for CD Salvage Auction is a demonstration that our initial assessment was correct.

“Although we have sold non-runner vehicles for our existing vendors before the addition of the salvage arm has given our customers an additional route to market for the vehicles that may have struggled through our traditional online remarketing route.”

Andy Brown concluded, “There is still more work to be done to integrate the two businesses but it’s good to see the initial actions reap positive rewards. We’ve been able to build on everything that is good about Hudson Kapel, like the established and trusted auction process and add the unique qualities of CD Auction, to provide the expanded buyer network vehicles using the most appropriate auction format.”
